Tuscany - weather and climate

In Tuscany outweigh the mild-moderate climate, even if differences appear within the region. At the coast and in the valleys it is moderate (hotter in the summer) than in the hills and in the mountains, where already continental climate prevails. The summer is dry and it can be very hot in the valleys. In the spring (April, May) and autumn (October, November) it may rain now and then, but there are also mild and very sunny days. In the winter it may be cold (night frost), but there are also sunny days or moderates temperatures and rains.

Travel time
Popular travel times are still the season’s spring/early summer and late summer/autumn - in particular for culture and city travellers. Who does not want to experience the cities and museums overcrowded, considers also the winter. The Tuscany became ever more popular in the last years also for family holidays, therefore also the high summer is meanwhile a main travel time, and not only at the sea!
